Essequibo River Tour

5:45 AM – Departure from Georgetown

• Pickup Location: Designated meeting point in Georgetown (exact location to be confirmed upon booking).
• Transport: Comfortable, air-conditioned bus or boat to start the tour. Travel along scenic roads leading to the Essquibo River.

7:00 am - Stop 1 at Yellow Shop

• Activity: Ability to purchase Guyanese snacks like eggballs, pholourie, puri and local fruits juices and coffee.

9:00 AM – Stop 2: Fort Island

• Activity: Explore Fort Island, a historical site that dates back to the colonial era. Visit the remains of Fort Zeelandia and the Court of Policy and learn about the island’s history as a strategic military point.
• Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour
• Highlights: Beautiful river views, historical significance, and photo opportunities.

10:15 AM – Stop 3: Bartica

• Activity: Bartica is the gateway to the interior of Guyana. Here you'll get a stroll along the beach and great photo opportunities.
• Duration: 1 hour
• Snacks: Snacks will be available for you to enjoy during the journey and cold drinks.

12:15 PM – Stop 3: Aruwai Resort or Sloth Island

• Lunch
• Activity: Take a refreshing swim in their pool or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings and enjoy in-house activities. Lunch will be served here.
• Duration: 1-2 hour
• Highlights: Pool, cocktails, in-house activities

2:00 PM – Stop 4: Baracara Falls

• Activity: Visit the stunning Baracara Falls. Marvel at the cascading waters, surrounded by dense forest. For the adventurous, you can hike nearby trails or take in the views from the riverbank.
• Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour
• Highlights: Majestic falls, perfect for photography, and a serene environment to enjoy nature.

3:30 PM – Return Journey to Georgetown

• Activity: Start the return trip to Georgetown. Enjoy the scenic views along the riverbanks as you relax on your way back.

6:30 PM – Arrival in Georgetown
